 　　“Is that the only word you know?” she asked him. "你只知道这个字吗？"她问他。

　　Drogo did not reply. His long heavy braid was coiled in the dirt beside him.  卓戈没有回答。他又长又重的辫子在身旁的泥土地上缠绕成圈。

　　He pulled it over his right shoulder and began to remove the bells from his hair, one by one.  他将辫子拉过右肩，开始一个一个解下铃铛。

　　After a moment Dany leaned forward to help. When they were done, Drogo gestured.  过了一会儿，丹妮也靠过去帮他。全部完成之后，卓戈做了个手势。

　　She understood. Slowly, carefully, she began to undo¹ his braid. 这次她看懂了，便小心翼翼地为他缓缓松开辫子。

　　It took a long time. All the while he sat there silently, watching her.  她花了好长时间。在这期间，他始终静静地坐在原地，凝望着她。

　　When she was done, he shook his head, and his hair spread out behind him like a river of darkness, oiled and gleaming.  她完成之后，他甩甩头，乌黑油亮的头发便如一条黑暗的河流般在他身后泼洒开来。

　　She had never seen hair so long, so black, so thick. 她从未见过这么长、这么黑、这么厚实的头发。

　　Then it was his turn. He began to undress her. 然后轮到他了。他开始为她宽衣解带。

　　His fingers were deft² and strangely tender.  他的手指不仅灵敏、而且出奇温柔。

　　He removed her silks one by one, carefully, while Dany sat unmoving, silent, looking at his eyes.  他轻缓地为她脱去一件件丝质礼服，丹妮一动也不动地静静坐着，凝望他的双眸。

　　When he bared her small breasts, she could not help herself. She averted³ her eyes and covered herself with her hands.  当她小小的乳房暴露出来时，她实在克制不住，下意识地伸手遮挡，并将视线转开。

　　“No,” Drogo said. He pulled her hands away from her breasts, gently but firmly,  "不。"卓戈说。他把她遮住胸部的手拿开，温柔而坚定，

　　then lifted her face again to make her look at him. “No,” he repeated. 然后他再度抬起她的脸，让她看着他。"不。"他重复。

　　“No,” she echoed back at him. "不。"她也跟着说。
