　　Two boys close to Arya's age scampered² past, splashing through a puddle³. 两个与艾莉亚年纪相仿的男孩蹦蹦跳跳地跑过，哗啦溅起一大滩水。

　　The old woman cursed them, but they kept right on going. 老妇人咒骂他们，但他们没有停步。

　　Other people were moving too, heading up the hill to see what the noise was about. 其他人也开始陆续朝丘陵上移动，想看看究竟是怎么回事。

　　Arya ran after the slower boy. "Where you going?" she shouted when she was right behind him. "What's happening?" 艾莉亚追着一个动作慢的男孩跑。“你去哪儿？”跑到他背后时，她叫道，“发生了什么事？”

　　He glanced back without slowing. "The gold cloaks is carryin' him to the sept." 他回头看了一眼，脚步却没慢下。“金袍子要把他带去大圣堂。”

　　Who? she yelled, running hard. “带谁？”她大声叫着，拼命快跑。

　　The Hand! They'll be taking his head off, Buu says. “当然是首相啊！阿布说他们要砍他的头咧。”

　　A passing wagon⁴ had left a deep rut in the street. 一辆经过的马车在地上留下深深的车辙。

　　The boy leapt over, but Arya never saw it. 男孩一跃而过，但艾莉亚没有在意，

　　She tripped and fell, face first, scraping her knee open on a stone and smashing her fingers when her hands hit the hard-packed earth. 结果被这么一绊，整个人扑倒在地，一只脚擦到石头，膝盖全破了皮，指头则狠狠地撞上硬泥地，

　　Needle tangled⁵ between her legs. 缝衣针也钩住了脚。
