 　　Jon raised the hood¹ of his heavy cloak² and gave the horse her head. 琼恩掀起厚重斗篷的兜帽，拍拍母马的头。

　　Castle Black was silent and still as he rode out, with Ghost racing³ at his side. 他骑马离开静谧的黑城堡，白灵紧随在旁。

　　Men watched from the Wall behind him, he knew, but their eyes were turned north, not south. 他知道身后的长城上有人值守，但他们面朝极北，而非南方。

　　No one would see him go, no one but Sam Tarly, struggling back to his feet in the dust of the old stables. 除了正从马厩的泥地上挣扎起身的山姆·塔利，不会有人见到他离去。

　　He hoped Sam hadn't hurt himself, falling like that. 眼看山姆摔成那样，琼恩暗自希望他没事才好。
