     By now everyone’s heard of Digital Versatile¹ Disk or DVD.Movie companies are pumping out the titles,and digital hungry comsumers have made the new format² one of the fastest growing in history .Now pioneer ,the Stereo equipment maker³ ,is adding to the DVD desire,with is DVDRW,or Read Write.You can use a unit like this to record TV shows in perfect digital playback.

     Recordable DVDs are just one of the new technologies for recording⁵ television. Hardd drive recorders ,like Tivo ,are also very popular, but you can’t move the recording with Tivo ,you can’t take a copy over to a friend’s house, because it’s locked inside the unit.Recordable DVD can be moved from one player to another .The only thing you won’t be able to do is record other movies.

Recordable DVDs are easier to store than VHS tapes, plus they’re indexible, you can record several different shows on one disk ,and skip right to the show you want to watch , no fast forwarding or rewinding.
