　　S: Excuse me. I need some storybooks in easy English. Do you have anything like that?

　　学生：对不起，我要买一些用简易英文写的故事书。你们有那样的书吗？

　　C: Well, there are a lot of storybooks upstairs in our children's section¹. Some are written for young children, others for teens². Maybe some of them will suit your needs．

　　店员：嗯，楼上儿童区有很多故事书。有些是写给儿童看的，其他的则给十来岁的孩子看，也许中间有一些会合乎你的需求。

　　S: I'll go take a look. Thanks for your help.

　　学生：我会去看看。谢谢您的帮忙。

　　C:You're welcome.

　　店员：不客气。

　　2．write in + 某种语言 用／以某种语言书写

　　例：That author³ has written books in both English and German.

　　（那名作家用英文和德文写了许多书。）

　　3．upstairs adv. 在楼上

　　4. section n. 部门

　　5．some... other... 此……而另一些……（用于非限定的两个群体）

　　some... others... still others...

　　一此……一此……而另一些……（用于非限定的三个群体）

　　例：Some of his friends live in Beijing; others live in Shanghai.

　　（他的一些朋友住在北京，而另一些则住在上海。）

　　Some of the recent graduates are going to graduate school; others are going to get jobs; still others plan to travel around the world.

　　（一些大学毕业生要念研究生，一些要找工作，而另一些人则准备环游世界。）

　　6．go (and) V 去（做）……

　　注意：在美式英文中，常把go之后的连接词and省略，而直接跟动词原形。

　　例：Could you go ( and) answer the door, please?

　　（请你去应门好吗？）

　　7．take a look (at sth) 看一看（某物）

　　Take a look at this painting.

　　（你看一下这幅画。）

1 section   

n.部分，章节，地段；断面，剖面；部门，科；阶层，界；vt.把…分成段

参考例句：

• There is one section of very long road to leave. 有一段很长的路要走。
• How many people work in your section?你部门有多少人？

2 teens   

n.13至19岁的年龄；青少年

参考例句：

• His son is in his teens.他的儿子十几岁。
• She's not yet out of her teens.她还不到二十岁。

3 author   

n.作者，创造者；vt.创造，写作

参考例句：

• She is a very famous author in America.在美国她是一位大名鼎鼎的作家。
• The author of this popular novel is blind.这本畅销小说的著作人是位盲人。
