 Well, it's not exactly Mount¹ Everest. 这里虽不是珠穆朗玛峰

It's a little bit higher ground.At least it's out of the water. 只是地势稍微高了一点 起码这里不是湿嗒嗒的了

Okay.And this tinder fungus² is still burning, and just every hour or so, 好了 "真菌打火机"还在燃烧 只需每过几小时

I've taken it out and given it a little blow. 把它拿出来  吹几口气

Put that in the middle of all of this honeysuckle. 把它放到金银花中去

And hopefully this will go. 希望能生起火

They say there's no smoke without fire. 人们都说无火不生烟

It's not always true.There we go. 这话不一定永远正确 火生起来了

Let's fill this up with some water. 杯子里装点水

You wouldn't drink water this dirty,but it's fine for boiling the eggs in. 这么脏的水肯定不能喝 但是用来煮蛋没问题

Okay. I'm a 3 1/2-minute man when it comes to boiled eggs. 煮白煮蛋的时候 我喜欢半熟的鸡蛋

This is gonna be just way nicer than having raw eggs. 这肯定要比吃生蛋好太多了

Oh, hang on.Oh, no. Look.This is a part-developed chick fetus³. 等等 别啊 你看 里面是半形成的雉胚胎

Well, that wasn't quite the nice boiled egg i was hoping for. 虽然这不是我期待中的美味白煮蛋

But, you know, in the Philippines,this sort of thing is a delicacy⁴. 但是  在菲律宾 这东西可是美味佳肴

If you haven't eaten for days,you can't afford to be squeamish. 已经好几天没吃东西了 也就没资格挑三拣四的

Protein keeps you alive.Oh, that was a leg. 蛋白质会让你活下去 那是腿

 

1 mount   

n.山峰，乘用马，框，衬纸；vi.增长，骑上（马）；vt.提升，爬上，装备

2 fungus
