President Donald Trump¹ arrived in Las Vegas on Wednesday, where he visited privately² with victims of the shooting rampage, their families and medical professionals. Sunday night's massacre³ was the worst mass shooting in modern US history, killing⁴ at least 59 people and injuring more than 500.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told reporters that he never considered abandoning his job as President Donald Trump's top diplomat⁵, contrary to reports. He did not refute calling the president a "moron⁶", though he dodged⁷ all questions on the matter.. Trump denounced the NBC report, calling it "fake news."

Leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee said they have not yet determined⁸ whether Russia coordinated⁹ with the Trump campaign to sway the 2016 presidential election. It's been roughly nine months since their investigation¹⁰ began. More than 100 witnesses have been interviewed and more than 100,000 pages of documents have been reviewed.

Hundreds of performers carried a 220-foot-long fire dragon through the streets of Hong Kong on Wednesday as part of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Their ritual dates back to the 19th-century Harvest Festival. Thousands of tourists and local residents gathered to celebrate.
