　　There is a little maiden. 她是个小女孩。

　　Who is she? Do you know?  她是谁？你知道吗？

　　Who always has a welcome wherever she may go. 她走到哪里都会受到欢迎。

　　Her face is like the Maytime. 她的脸就像是五月的时光。

　　Her voice is like a bird's, 她的声音就像是鸟的歌唱，

　　The sweetest of all music is in her lightsome words. 她轻快的话语是世界上最动听的音乐。

　　Each spot she makes the brighter, 她照亮了一切，

　　As if she were the sun;  她就像是太阳，

　　And she is sought, and cherished and loved by every one. 我们寻觅她，珍视她。

　　By old folks and by children, by lofty and by low;  不管是老的小的，雅的俗的；

　　Who is this little maiden? 这个小女孩是谁？

　　Does any body know ? 有谁知道？

　　You surely must have met her. 你一定见过她。

　　You certainly can guess.  你一定能猜到。

　　What！I must introduce her? 什么？我一定要介绍她吗？

　　Her name is CHEERFULNESS. 她的名字叫做欢乐。
