(单词翻译:双击或拖选)
The police department of the United Arab Emirates city, Dubai, has begun to use supercars (Lamborghini Aventadors) as patrol1 cars. An Aventador’s price is around 400,000 dollars, has a 700hp (horsepower) engine and and a top speed of 350km/hr (kilometers per hour)— not your average patrol car.
The Dubai Police Department isn't just going to use this super car on the expressways either. They will mainly patrol tourist areas. Their aim is to show them off to visitors from overseas to promote the expansion2 of the city .
It is reported that the Dubai Police Department has also added the Chevrolet Camaro to its lineup. Dubai in recent years has grown to be one of the world's leading tourist cities. In fact it has become the eighth most visited cities by foreign tourists in the world. It looks like these patrol cars will become another tourist symbol for the city.
Incidentally3 , besides Dubai there are more than a few countries where the police use supercars as patrol cars. For example, they are used in England, Russia and Italy.
Definitely4 keep an eye out for supercar patrol cars when you are visiting overseas.
