实战口语情景对话 第354期:Video Games 电子游戏

 　　I can't remember what this toy was called but I had this very interesting, basically¹ it was, like a robot car you could program in how forward you wanted it to go and then, when it would stop and after it would stopped, if it was going to make a right turn or a left turn, and you could also make it go backwards² or in diagonal, and it was very fun. You could set it up in your house or outside and try to program in directions so that it would follow a path³, so you could try to make it go from the living room and take a left into the kitchen and stop just before it ran into your mom, and back up before she kicked it and yelled⁴ at you, or make it turn around in circles. I think it also had some sounds you could make, but it's very interesting to think back that, that kind of technology existed⁵, you know, in the late 80's, early 1980's, too. Of course, everybody's favorite when I was a kid anyway, even today, are video games, not only home video games but the arcade⁶ style games. I was a, I was a good kid but I can remember of the few times that I got in trouble with my dad was because I ended up at a arcade, and I was playing video games for so long and I didn't call home and ended up coming home very late and that was very upsetting to my parents and they were worried about me. Also, it seemed like the kids in school that were most popular were the kids who had video games at their houses. I didn't have a video game at my house so I always had to find friends and go over to their house to play. 我不记得这个玩具的名字了，不过它非常有趣，基本上，那就像个机器人汽车，你可以设定想让它行进的距离，让它停止的时间，可以让它右转或是左转，也可以让它倒车或沿对角线移动，非常有意思。你可以在家里玩，也可以在外面玩，可以设定方向，这样它就能按照一个路线前进，你可以让它从客厅出发，左转进入厨房，然后在它撞上你妈妈之前停下来，在你妈妈踢它并向你大喊之前倒车，也可以让它转圈，我想也可以让它发出一些声音，不过回想起来真的很有意思，你知道，在上世纪80年代末期还有那样的技术存在，80年代早期也有这种技术。当然，无论是孩提时代，还是现在，所有人的最爱都是电子游戏，不仅仅是家庭电子游戏，还有街机风格的游戏。我是个好孩子，但是我记得有几次我爸爸处罚了我，因为我一直在游戏厅，我玩了很长时间的电子游戏，没有打电话回家，我到家里的时候已经非常晚了，这令我的父母非常不安，他们非常担心我。而在学校里最受欢迎的学生似乎就是那些家里有电子游戏的孩子。我家里没有电子游戏，所以我一直不得不找有游戏的朋友，去他们家里玩游戏。
