Top NewsAt least 120 killed, 200 injured in Paris attacksThe French authorities have yet to announce an official death toll6 from the 6 coordinated7 attacks that rocked Paris late last night.
Prosecutor8 of Paris, Francois Molins, said at least 120 people were probably killed during the shootings and explosions in the centre of the city and its suburbs with more than 200 injured.
No Chinese citizens have been confirmed killed or injured in the incident.
It's still unknown how many attackers were involved.
So far, eight suspected attackers have been confirmed dead, including 7 who blew themselves up.
Among the sites attacked was the Bataclan Concert Hall in eastern Paris, where at least two gunmen took hostage and later killed more than 100 audience members attending a rock concert.
Attacks also took place near the National football Stadium - the Stade de France - where French President Francois Hollande was watching a football match.
No group has claimed responsibility for the coordinated attacks.
In a televised address to his nation, Hollande said the country would stand firm and united against the attackers.
"My fellow compatriots. As I speak, terrorist attacks of unprecedented9 proportions are underway in the Paris area. There are dozens killed, there are many injured. It is a horror. We have, on my decision, mobilised all forces possible to neutralise the terrorists and make all concerned areas safe. I have also asked for military reinforcements. They are currently in the Paris area, to ensure that no new attacks can take place."France has declared a state of emergency and imposed border controls.
Airports and train stations are still in running, but stricker security checks have been reinforced.
A Council of Defense11 is being held in the presidential office the Elysee with all government ministers present.
This is the first time France has suffered suicide attacks.
The attacks come two weeks before the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris, which dozens of heads of state and government are expected to attend.
President Hollande has cancelled his trip to Sunday's G20 meeting, which was to focus, in large part, on growing fears of violent attacks by Islamic extremists.
This is the fourth terror attack that has rocked France this year.
On Aug. 21, an armed man opened fire on passengers of a Thalys high-speed train between Amsterdam and Paris, wounding three before being arrested.
On June 26, two men loyal to Islamic State beheaded one man and rammed12 a car into the gas containers of a U.S. company in southeast France, triggering an explosion and injuring two others.
And On Jan. 7, two gunmen stormed into the Paris-based Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine offices and shot dead 12 people. An apparent associate of the gunmen killed a police officer and four hostages were held at a supermarket in the following two days.

And we want to be very clear that we stand with them in the fight against terrorism and extremism. We're going to do whatever it takes to work with the French people and nations around the world to bring these terrorists to justice and to go after any terrorist networks that go after our people."European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said on his official Twitter account that he was "deeply shocked" by the events in Paris. Paris Survivors23 Recall BloodshedSurvivors have begun recounting the attacks which took place in Paris on Friday night.
Jerome Bartelemy was among those in the Bataclan Concert Hall when at least 2 young men, armed with automatic weapons stormed into the venue24, which was filled with people attending a rock concert on Friday night.
"They told us to lie down, there was one who kept gesturing for us to get down. We all lay down, the whole room lay down. I was completely under other people, and they (the attackers) kept shooting."He says the shooters appeared almost relaxed as they were carrying out their massacre.
"The one I saw, he was wearing a black tracksuit with white stripes, he was no older than 25. The guy had brown hair, he was pretty calm. That's what really surprised me. At a certain point, I turned around and we were wondering if they were real bullets or not, and I saw him shoot someone and then I understood,"At the same time, witnesses are also recounting what's believed to have been suicide bombings outside the National Stadium.
"I was talking on my cell phone, crossing the street and straight away, boom, it exploded right in front of me. Everything was blown to bits and I felt stuff flying around. I fell and then I got back up. That when you guys saw me, you were already here. My cell phone is what saved me. Otherwise my head would have been blown to bits."Among those inside the National Stadium at the time was French President Francois Hollande who was watching a football match.
He was spirited away from the Stadium. after word of the attack reached his security detail.
China's Reax to Paris AttacksThe Chinese embassy in Paris has issued a security alert, calling on all Chinese nationals in France to stay indoors and pay close attention to police information and local media reports connected to the attacks in Paris.

"We decided26 after consultation27 with the Italian Foreign Minister that the best time to visit Italy and the Vatican and France may be in the near future. Today we all need to focus all our attention on how to combat terrorism and that is why instead of going to Rome, I will be departing for Vienna to participate in the meeting on Syria."Rouhani was to leave Tehran on Saturday morning for Italy before visiting France on Tuesday.
He has sent a message to French President Francois Hollande condemning28 the attacks and expressing sympathy with the French government and nation.

American beer drinkers are said to be enjoying a golden age. Ales, lagers and porters from small, local breweries44 have been gaining popularity among beer drinkers.
But even as Americans hop34 on the craft beer train, there's concern among smaller brewers that recent mergers45 among the industry's giants could slow sales for their product.
Our reporter Patrice Howard has more.

There are thousands of bars to choose from in New York City - but Matt Gebhard says customers pour into his midtown Manhattan business because variety is on tap.
Matt Gebhard, Owner, Beer Culture NYC"There are a lot of places around New York City where you can get a beer, but not too many places where you can get a selection of 500 different beers."Beer Culture NYC caters46 to customers who crave47 locally-produced craft beers. They're flavor rich, bolder blends made at small facilities, that are scoring big with American beer drinkers.
Matt Gebhard, Owner, Beer Culture NYCBeer drinkers are looking for something sour, or stronger or hoppier than what Americans were drinking 20, 25 years ago."Many bars like Matt's across US are swapping48 out mega brand beer labels like Budweiser and Coors to appeal to America's evolving taste in alcohol, and to support local labels.
Matt pours a customer a glass of Beer Culture's signature blend. It's brewed49 just across the river from Manhattan, in Queens New York, at a local brewery50 called Transmitter.
Anthony Accardi, Owner, Transmitter Brewing"We're trying to do something a little unique…"Master brewer43 Anthony Accardi is checking the inventory51. They churn about 1800 bottles per week, which sounds like a small number compared to mass distribution by bigger brands, but when it comes to craft beer Accardi says quality always trumps52 quantity.
Anthony Accardi, Owner, Transmitter Brewing"Because we are small we have flexibility53 to try something quickly, there's no corporate54 infrastructure55 it has to go through. If we have a beer that we think has an interesting component29 or interesting flavor we can use that knowledge the next day."Just this week, Anheuser-Busch InBev and SABMiller, the world's largest brewers, announced they will merge1 to become one giant beer company. They reached a deal for ABI to buy SAB miller41 for more than 105 billion dollars, one of the largest mergers in corporate history. The result? A huge portion of the world's beer will be made by just one company.
The deal may disrupt distribution for craft beer makers56 down the line, but Accardi says he is not worried about more competition from big brands because the unique flavors he makes simply can't be produced on a large scale, no matter how the mega brands try to compete.
Anthony Accardi, Owner, Transmitter Brewing"They've tried to make in house craft beer, it doesn't feel authentically57 like craft beer which tends to be small and grow up, as opposed to be big and well funded and trickle58 down."Even as big beer labels try to swallow their competition, bar owners buying local say craft is in demand, and business will continue to flow. Here's Matt Gebhard back at Beer Culture.
Matt Gebhard, Owner, Beer Culture NYC"I think little guys will continue to brew42 great beer and locals will definitely appreciate that."Because once the beer makes it to a customer's glass it's less about market share - more about sharing a pint59.

Russia banned from international athletics69, may miss OlympicsRussia is facing the possiblity of being banned from next year's Olympics.
The IAAF has voted to ban the Russian Federation70 from all international athletic68 events until such time as it can prove its working in-line with global anti-doping rules.
IAAF President Sebastian Coe says Russia may be barred from competing at the Olympics in Rio next year if it can't institute policy changes which ensure its Sports Federation isn't involved in systematic71 doping.
"It is entirely72 up to, the Russian federation and Russia to enact73 those changes. Weekly Biz Roundup (Saturday)Weekly Business ReviewAnchor:
It's time to take a look back at some of the headlines from the world of business in our Weekly Business Review.
In this edition, we will take you through the country's annual "Singles Day" shopping frenzy83 and tell you about the Chinese government's plan to increase domestic consumption.
CRI's Wenjie has more.
Reporter:
China's e-commerce giant Alibaba saw record breaking sales of more than 90 billion yuan, or 14 billion US dollars, on this year's Singles Day shopping extravaganza on Wednesday.
That number is a 60% increase from last year. The company's payment service Alipay processed 117 million transactions during the first hour on Wednesday.
"11/11, this day starts from China and will go global. And I think in the next five years, we may be in Tokyo, we may be in Paris and maybe we are in New York. We hope 11/11 is a great day for every consumer, every small business for every business who are on the internet age."Alibaba stats show this year's orders were placed from 232 countries and regions.
The company's chief rival JD.com saw 20 million online orders by 5:30 pm on Wednesday.
Early figures on Wednesday showed around 70% of the sales were made via mobile platforms.
November 11 became known as the Singles Day in China in the 90's, created by young singles as an excuse to buy themselves presents.
Alibaba launched its first Double 11 online sales in 2009, and since then the day has become the biggest online shopping spree of the year in China.
Cao Lei with the China E-commerce Research Center says the growth in cross-border purchases is going to help the overall development of e-commerce in China.
"Sellers from around the world and cross-border trade has open the period of so-called mass consumption 3.0 in China. Consumption 1.0 featured customer-to-customer business on platforms like Taobao.com. Consumption 2.0 marked the rise in the popularity of business-to-customer sales through sites like Tmall and JD.com. Now, with the coming of international sellers, Consumption 3.0 has arrived."It's expected China is going to overtake the U.S. to become the world's biggest retail85 market in 2018, with retail volume growth expected to grow by nearly 9-percent a year in the next two years.
///////////////////While huge numbers of Chinese consumers took part in Wednesday's record-breaking Single's Day shopping event, the State Council has also been taking new steps to shore up the country's consumption over the longer term.
At Wednesday's regular government meeting, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang called for more reforms and innovation to boost domestic consumption.
As part of a raft of policies, the Chinese cabinet has promised to speed up reforms on the household registration86 system, or known as "Hukou".
By helping87 people relocate to cities, it's hoped the reform will in turn boost home sales and consumption of home appliances.
At the same time, the Chinese government vowed to improve the country's business and consumption environment.
This requires the authorities to tighten2 supervision88, better protect intellectual property rights and crack down on counterfeits89.
Zhao Ping, a campaigner for consumer rights, listed the key challenge in China's private consumption.
"Chinese consumers are usually in a situation of asymmetric90 information. As such, they tend to be overly cautious while shopping. To tackle the problem, we need to set up a sound credit information sharing system. This could allow consumers to be well informed and thus encourage them to purchase more."In addition, the government will encourage imports of consumer goods, open more duty-free shops and improve tax refund91 policies for foreign tourists.
////////////////On Thursday, the International Monetary92 Fund called on the international community to support China in its economic transition, saying it will benefit global growth and reduce tail risks.
The call, made in a newly released report 'Note on Global Prospects93 and Policy Challenges' comes ahead of the upcoming G20 leaders' summit in Antalya in Turkey.
Meanwhile, the IMF has also suggested China's rebalancing could generate large global knock-on effects, and so China should move towards a slower, more sustainable growth path.
On the subject of including the Renminbi into the IMF Special Drawing Rights basket - a big concern for the international community - IMF spokesperson Gerry Rice said preparations were underway:
"Here I think the process is underway. IMF staff are preparing a report, which will include a recommendation to our executive board on that issue, and I would underline that the decision rests on our executive board, which, of course, represents 188 countries. So to categorize I would say the process is on track, on schedule,"The IMF also predicts in the report that the global economy is expected to grow by 3.6 percent in 2016, the fastest rate since 2011.
Yet it warns that international economies should be cautious in navigating94 change and has urged further structural95 reform to spur future growth, with effective demand-side measures.
//////////////////On Thursday, index provider MSCI said it would include 14 U.S.-listed Chinese Internet stocks to its MSCI China and Emerging Markets Indexes.
This is the first time overseas-listed China shares, also known as American Depositary Receipts, are included on the MSCI's indexes.
Major Chinese companies with ADRs traded in the U.S. including Alibaba and Baidu are among the 14 Chinese companies added to indexes such as the MSCI Emerging Markets Index and MSCI China.
It is estimated that about 70 billion U.S. dollars could flow to the stocks of the Chinese firms set for inclusion.
The move comes after MSCI decided not to include China's 'A' shares in its global indexes back in June.
Cao Can, CEO of Shengya Capital, says the move will allow foreign investors96 to participate in China's economic growth.
////////On Friday, China's securities regulator decided to double the amount that investors borrowing money to buy stocks are required to deposit as a guarantee, in a bid to reduce stock market leverage97.
From Nov. 23, the financing collateral98 deposit rate benchmark will be lifted from 50 percent to 100 percent, which means investors will only be able to borrow the same amount of money instead of twice their collateral deposit.
The regulator says the recent stock market rallies have given rise to increased marginal trading and this change in the rules aims to guard against systemic financial risks.
//////////////On the corporate front,China's leading comprehensive insurance company Anbang announced Monday that it will acquire U.S. life insurance provider Fidelity99 & Guaranty Life Insurance Company for nearly 1.6 billion U.S. dollars.
Fidelity & Guaranty Life is an U.S. insurance holding company headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, helps middle-income Americans prepare for retirement100.
The transaction will make Anbang one of the largest insurers by market share in fixed101 annuity102 products in the United States.
It is expected to close in the second quarter of 2016.
And that concludes this edition of the weekly business review. I'm Wenjie. Thank you for listening.

Mainland TV drama scores crossover success in TaiwanA hit mainland period drama is enjoying similar popularity in Taiwan, in the latest example of cross-Strait TV success.
Since the first of the 54 episodes was shown on November 3, it has consistently had one of the top three primetime audience ratings in Taiwan.
It even maintained that success rate on Tuesday and Wednesday, when it went up against live baseball matches involving a team representing the island.
Such crossover successes have been few and far between.
The last was "Empresses in the Palace" in 2012, which not only gained high audience ratings on its premiere in Taiwan but has been rerun several times by Taiwan TV channels.
Taiwan exported many TV dramas to the mainland in the 1980s and 1990s. The trade has reversed since then, as the quality of mainland programs has caught up.
