The holiday was founded by Julia Ward¹ Howe to honor the mothers of the soldiers lost in the war.

1872年，朱莉亚伍德霍夫，首先提出了设立母亲节，赞誉那些在战争中失去了孩子的母亲。

In China, carnations² are a very popular Mother's Day gift and the most sold flowers in relation to the day.
