From my interaction with English learners here in mainland China, I discovered one problem with them. Most invariably they cannot easily come up with ideas to talk or write about. Let me remind you again, it is this weakness that affects you in learning anything. The problem is not due to your knowledge of English, but an inherent psychological problem which must be dealt with by an educational psychologist or even a psychiatrist.
The re-writes reveal to learners what an experienced user can do with a writing in poor or hardly readable English. You will therefore learn from the mistakes of others. You won't feel embarrassed as it is not your own mistakes that have been corrected.
You may find me too critical or harsh on English learners. I must make it clear that we have to have the right attitude towards the acquisition of any knowledge to respect knowledge. Don't ever give yourself any excuses.
Let me also remind you here that English language is not simply knowledge. It is in reality a skill. You have to learn it and be skilled in using it responding to any situation in English promptly. That is the goal of learning and using English if you envisage yourself to be a brilliant and fluent English speaker. If you fail to sharpen the skill, you remain forever studying English as a knowledge like other school subjects such as mathematics, physics, etc.
Have I made myself clear?
