 Let’s take a look at the satellite image. A trough stretching from northern Western Australia to Victoria is triggering¹ showers and the odd storm and directing warm area across New South Wales. A tough in the west is causing some dry storms over WA’s interior². Looking around the country, some coastal³ showers in Queensland mainly in the north, hot in the west and mild on the coast. New South Wales, showers and storms in the east with gusty⁴ change along the coast. Cool in the south and warm in the north. In Victoria, the odd shower in the northeast. Light southerly winds inland and gusty along the coast. Showers in Tasmania, cold in the west, mild in the north and strong winds throughout.

In South Australia, mild around the south. Some rain in the north and very hot. Patchy rain inland. In Western Australia, very hot over the northern inland. Patchy rain and showers over the central interior.

And in the Northern Territory, showers along the Top End coasts. Very hot inland. Cooler near the coast with storms in the southwest.

Looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast for the capital cities. Partly cloudy in Brisbane. A possible shower in Sydney. Canberra will be cloudy. Cloud clearing in Melbourne. Partly cloudy in Tasmania. Adelaide will be sunny. Showers developing in Perth. And mostly sunny in Darwin.
