Dudley: Miss Glendenning, may I speak? I came here tonightbecause I feared just such a reaction from Moray. MightI explain? When Moray and I both worked for Mr Emmerson, I faceddismissal because an accusation² of stealing was made against me by a customer.I was out of work for two months until  Icleared my name. I faced ruin. Moray stood by me and worried away at the matteruntil justice prevailed³.
