Hi Laura, good morning to you, behind is the house where the royal family is staying, it’s the governor’s mansion1, and it was a very busy day here, baby George on his first official order of business on this tour down under--a royal playdate.
There’s Prince George surrounded this morning by his royal subjects, a bunch of babies. All eyes were on his royal chubbiness2, who is already mastering crawling, maybe even ready to walk. He’s not a huge fan of blocks. And George has some work to do when it comes to the ladies, this little girl not so interested when he tried to hold hands. She might regret that one day.
William and Kate are trying as much as possible to give Prince George a normal upbringing, but obviously it’s very difficult for them just to take him into a normal playgroup in the UK. The baby especially selected to meet the 8-month old Prince, all about his same age. The diverse makes of first time appearance included two gay dads.
He has knows, topping trial, went to the middle of the circle of toys, he had it at the biggest toy, just prop5 himself up and yeah, he earns the place basically.
It was the first official engagement on a 3 week royal tour down under. This playdate, a modern version of Prince William’s royal crawl about during his inaugural6 visit to New Zealand more than 3 decades ago. Like father, like son, two heirs to the thrown who look like they know exactly what they want. In this morning’s playdate, just slightly overshadowed by their royal offspring, the Duke and Duchess were there too, making sure their little prince play nice.
Prince William shared a few nuggets about his son with the other parents here, he said baby George is now teething and that he’s the one who gives George a bottle every night, and puts him to bed, there are one prince tucking in another.
Absolutely, thank you so much, Cecilia,
I love their side by side shots.
They really have a strong resemblance.
I bet no one stole prince George’s toys though.
