U.S. and Iraqi troops raided a Sadr City neighborhood today targeting Shiite extremists. U.S. military says it arrested a suspect believed to be involved in smuggling¹ bombs from Iran.

Thousands of families have fled an embattled Palestinian refugee camp caught in a crossfire² of a conflict between the Lebanese army and Islamic extremists. About 31,000 people live in the camp. The United Nations says at least 25,000 have fled since fighting started a week ago.
