The White House isn't denying that President Trump¹ used a vulgar expression to describe the countrys that many immigrants in the US come from. The comment has triggered outrage² and was delivered as two senators were presenting a immigration policy compromise.

California authorities have released the names of the seventeen people confirmed dead in the massive mudslides northwest of Los Angeles. Estimates of how many are missing have ranged up to several dozen. But the officials say some may have left the area.

A train with more than four hundred people on board got stuck in the snow overnight in western Japan. It had electricity and heat, and most of the passengers weren't evacuated³.

And India has launched a rocket with 31 satellites on board. Most of the satellites are from different countries including the US, Britain, France and Canada.
