 　　By the flow of the inland river, 内河的水，不停地流淌，

　　Whence the fleets of iron have fled, 那钢铁舰队，逃往哪里？

　　Where the blades of the grave grass quiver, 何处墓地，青草叶片颤动？

　　Asleep are the ranks of the dead; 死者，早已安然熟睡。

　　Under the sod and the dew, 草地下，露珠下，

　　Waiting the judgment¹ day; 等待着，最后审判日，

　　Under the one, the Blue; 一个下面，是蓝色，

　　Under the other, the Gray. 另一个下面，是灰色。

　　These, in the robings of glory, 有的人，穿着荣耀的长袍，

　　Those, in the gloom of defeat, 有的人，躲进失败的晦暗，

　　All, with the battle blood gory², 所有人，沾满战争的血污，

　　In the dusk of eternity³ meet; 徜徉在，永恒满足的薄暮。

　　Under the sod and the dew, 草地下，露水下，

　　Waiting the judgment day; 等待着，最后审判日，

　　Under the laurel, the Blue; 桂冠下面，归于蓝色，

　　Under the willow⁴, the Gray. 柳树下面，归于灰色。

　　From the silence of sorrowful hours, 悲恸时光，陷入无边沉默，

　　The desolate⁵ mourners go, 哀悼者，走向落日孤愁，

　　Lovingly laden⁶ with flowers, 捧上一把，浓浓爱意鲜花，

　　Alike for the friend and the foe⁷; 悼念朋友，亦奠祭敌人。
