In bed we concocted¹ our plans for the morrow. But to my surprise and no small concern,  在床上，我们开始商量具体的出海计划。 让我吃惊的是，

instead of this, I say, Yojo earnestly enjoined³ that the selection of the ship should rest wholly with me,  而且，我会抛开魁魁格，一个人先去上船做水手！ 

in as much as Yojo purposed befriending us; and, in order to do so, had already pitched upon a vessel⁴,  它还暗示，已经在岸边为我们选好了船，就是那艘我最终一定会挑定的船；

which, if left to myself, I, Ishmael, should infallibly light upon, for all the world as though it had turned out by chance;  魁魁格非常相信他身上的这个木偶，凡事都要向它请示，它的任何一点表示，魁魁格都会像听到圣旨一样去执行，

and in that vessel I must immediately ship myself, for the present irrespective of Queequeg.  尽管有时候它也许是出之于善良的本心恰恰弄出些相悖的事来。 

1 concocted
