P: This is terrific¹. I can't believe we are in Hawaii, Yang Chen!

P: That is what surfing is: Standing⁴ up on a surfboard and riding a wave.

Y: I'm going to stay here and wait.

Y: Maybe.

P: Look, there is nothing to be afraid of, Yang Chen.
