B: Delivery would be a month from receipt of your order.

A: Could you effect shipment more promptly¹?

你们能否提前一点交货呢？

B: I'm sorry to say that we can't advance the time of delivery. Getting the goods ready, making out the documents and booking the shipping² space, all these take time.

很抱歉，我们无法提前交货。您知道备货，制单，订舱，所有这些都要花时间。

A: I see. What's your unloading port?

我明白了。你们的卸货港在哪？

B: How about Qingdao?

青岛如何？

A: We'd like to change the unloading port to Dalian.

B: No problem. It makes no difference to us to change the unloading port from Qingdao to Dalian.

“It takes sb some time to do sth”是“花费某人多少时间来做某事”的意思，例如：It takes us five days to finish the task.（完成这项任务花费了我们5天的时间。）
