Hi there, I'm Ore from BBC World News for Schools. It's Monday the 27th of June.
Coming up:
?Sebastian Vettel snatches another Grand Prix victory,
?Fans upset as a top Argentina footie team gets relegated1
?And Michael Jackson's leather jacket sells for 1.8 million dollars!
But first, let's get an update from Libya in North Africa. A decision has been made today to arrest the country's leader, Colonel Gaddafi. It was made by the International Criminal Court. He's accused of crimes against the people opposed to his leadership and regime. Today's the 100th day since international organisation2 NATO has been helping3 the Libyans who are unhappy with Gaddafi. These rebels have been fighting for him to step down, but forces loyal to Gaddafi have been fighting back too. Here's what one rebel thinks:
CLIP:"...We don't think that this will last for another four months. Hopefully before Ramadan in early August, Gaddafi will be gone and the current crisis will be over."
Next up to Argentina in South America. Violence broke out after one of the country's most popular football teams lost their place in the top league. Football giants River Plate got relegated from the Argentine first division for the first time in their 110-year history. Football is huge in the country and this BBC journalist says it was a crucial match for the team:
CLIP:"This was the match that River Plate had to win and it soon became apparent that this wasn't going to happen....The match had to be abandoned in the final minute because the fans started to rip up the plastic seats and started to through them onto the pitch."
Police used water cannons4 outside the stadium after the match, hoping to move fans away quickly. But there was lots of violence - shop windows were smashed and it's thought at least 55 people were injured, some of whom were police.
Sticking with football and the Women's Football World Cup has got off to a great start. Defending champions and also this year's host nation Germany, won their first match against Canada. France also beat Nigeria on the first day of the tournament.
Racing5 over to Formula One now and the European Grand Prix in Spain. Sebastian Vettel dominated the race to grab his sixth win of the season. Here's that moment:
CLIP:"Now he waves his arms in triumph, it's a sixth win in 2011 for the defending champion."
And the man himself:
CLIP:"We managed to put everything together and faultless this weekend, so very happy with the result obviously."
The win means he's got so many more points than his rival drivers, that they think it's quite certain he'll win this year's Formula One title.
For today's question we want know what nationality is racing driver Sebastian Vettel?
Finally a jacket worn by legendary6 American singer Michael Jackson in his famous Thriller7 video has sold at auction8 - for a staggering 1.8 million dollars!
CLIP:"We had bidders9 from all over the world. Hundreds of people in the room, on the line, online bidding, on the phones bidding..."
Some of the profits from the sale will go to an animal reserve in California where Michael Jackson's two Bengal tigers are living.
OK, that's all from the World News for Schools team. We're back tomorrow.
