抛招：We'd be tickled¹ pink if you'd come along. 如果你来，我们会非常高兴的。

 

注释1：come along：一起来

 

Eg. Come along, you two love-birds! 快点吧，你们这一对恩爱情侣！Eg. Come along or we'll be late. 快点儿吧，要不然就迟到了。Eg. Will you come along with me? 你愿意和我一起来吗?

 

抛招：He was tickled pink at the idea of taking a month's holiday at the expense of his company. 他一想到公司出钱让他去旅游，他非常高兴。

接招：在上面的例句中都用到了同样一个词语：tickled pink。这是一个形容词性短语。词语中tickled是tickle的过去分词。Tickle是“使高兴”“使快乐”“逗乐”的意思。那么，tickled则是“感到快乐的”“感到高兴的”意思。Pink是“粉红色”“桃红色”的意思。英美人将这2个词组合在一起来表示“very pleased，delighted”（万分高兴，快乐）的意思。
