伊朗总统祝贺赢得委内瑞拉总统马杜罗

 　　TEHRAN, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday congratulated Nicolas Maduro on his victory in Venezuela's presidential election¹, Press TV reported.

　　Maduro's election has great significance in establishing a new world order considering Venezuela's effective position among independent nations in their freedom-seeking movement, Ahmadinejad said.

　　Maduro, Venezuela's acting² president, narrowly won Sunday's election with 50.66 percent of the votes, according to official figures.

　　Maduro, born on Nov. 23, 1962 in Caracas to a lower middle- class family, took over as the country's interim³ president following the death of Hugo Chavez from cancer in March.
