上海推出我国首本小学男生性别教材《小小男子汉》

 　　The Shanghai Educational Publishing House last Wednesday launched China's first gender¹ textbook designed specifically for male students in primary school.

　　上海教育出版社于上周三推出了国内首本为小学男生量身定制的性别教育教材。

　　Entitled "Xiaoxiao Nanzihan" or "Little Man" in English, the textbook focuses on mental health education of male pupils in the fourth and fifth grades in primary school, aiming to help them understand sexual physiology², sexual psychology³ and enhance their fundamental ability of self-protection.

　　这本教材名叫《小小男子汉》，侧重于对小学四五年级男生的心理健康教育，旨在帮助他们了解性生理、性心理知识，增强他们自我保护的基本能力。

　　With a total of six chapters, the textbook introduces a wide range of basic knowledge including the topics of "What is the difference between a boy and a girl?", "Why am I a boy and not a girl?", "What does a father mean to a son?" as well as "Why do we need to have awareness⁴ about investment and money management?".

　　该教材共分6章，介绍了各种基础知识，包括"男孩和女孩有哪些不同？"、"为什么我是男孩不是女孩？"、"父亲对儿子意味着什么？"、"为什么要有投资和理财的意识？"等话题。

　　The Shanghai Educational Publishing House said pupils who learn the book will have a separate classroom from their female classmates.

　　上海教育出版社表示，学习这本教材的小学男生将与女同学分班上课。

　　The move aims to help boys more openly discuss some questions they might otherwise not address in their daily lives.

　　这一举措意在引导男生可以更开放地讨论一些在日常生活中很难展开的问题。
