A central Queensland vet1 has died from Hendra virus in the Brisbane hospital. Dr. Alister Rodgers contracted the virus while treating sick horses at a property near Rockhampton last month. He and three property workers had a trial of antiviral drugs in Rockhampton. But he was flown to Brisbane after becoming seriously ill.
