Traffic on Sydney’s Harbour Bridge is slowly flowing again this morning. Police had to close the bridge this morning when a lone1 protester climbed to the top of it and unfurled two banners about his children. He was coaxed2 down around seven o’clock this morning, but not before causing massive traffic gridlock around the city.

Security forces have reportedly used batons4 to break up a large student demonstration5 in Syria’s second biggest city. This amateur vision apparently6 shows thousands of students in Aleppo staging a demonstration outside their dormitories. They were demanding an end to the military crackdown. The United States has again condemned7 the violence and is urging Syrian authorities to talk to the demonstrators.
