55 What’s the Hurry? Here’s Your Hat!
I have a friend who has a large police¹ dog called Jack². Police dogs are oftenvery intelligent³. Every Sunday afternoon my friend takes Jack for a long walkin the park. Jack likes these long walks in the park very much.
One Sunday afternoon a young man came⁴ to visit my friend. He stayed a longtime. He talked and talked. Soon it was⁵ time for my friend to take Jack forhis walk. But the visitor⁶ still stayed. Jack became⁷ very worried⁸ about hiswalk in the park. He walked around the room several⁹ times and then sat¹⁰ downdirectly in front of the visitor and looked at him.
But the visitor paid¹¹ no attention¹². He continued¹³ talking. Finally¹⁴ Jack couldstand it no longer. He went out of the room and came back a few¹⁵ minutes later¹⁶.
He sat down again in front of the visitor but this time he held the visitor'shat in his mouth.
