Oil giant PetroChina Co. Ltd. reported net profit of 35.5 billion yuan last year,

down 67 percent year-on-year and the lowest such figure since the firm listed in Hong Kong in 2000.

The company's revenue last year was 1.7 trillion yuan, down 24.4 percent from the previous year, data from its annual financial statement released on March 23 show.
