More than 70 primary school students have been flown to safety and reunited with their families after becoming stranded¹ by floodwaters at a camp in north Queensland, for almost a week. It comes as hundreds of residents survey the damage after days of heavy rain.

A rescue helicopter, ambulances and police were dispatched to the scene, but Mr Benneworth and a 73-year-old man did not survive.
