Up to 400 Australian businesses were possibly targeted in a suspected Russian cyber attack that affected¹ millions of machines worldwide. The UK, US and Australian governments say Russian government hackers² carried out a series of attacks last year. The aim was espionage³ and to steal intellectual property.

Forensic⁴ police are examining the scene of a suspicious house fire in Brisbane's north west that's claimed the lives of two women and a man. Police were called to Everton Hills when neighbours heard explosions and cries for help around half past five this morning. Authorities say, at the fire's peak, the flames were twice as high as the house.
