North and South Korea have agreed to work for the "complete denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula". The leaders of North Korea and South Korea are meeting tonight for a formal dinner. South Korean president Moon Jae-In has declared a new era of peace saying there will be "no more war on the peninsula".

The Banking¹ Royal Commission has heard AMP may have committed a criminal offence in misleading the corporate² regulator. Counsel assisting the inquiry³ Rowena Orr said it was open to the commission to make a finding of misconduct against AMP. Ms Orr said the company misled ASIC on 20 occasions and altered an independent report.

China is no longer accepting Australian waste meaning recycling could end up in landfill. The federal environment minister Josh Frydenberg says governments have pledged to purchase more recyclable products and develop domestic recycling capacity.
