Qantas has confirmed it has found cracks in three of its Boeing 737s, after completing an audit¹ this week. The airline says 33 planes were inspected, three were found to have a hairline crack in the pickle² fork structure, which strengthens the connection between the wing and the body of the plane. The aircraft will undergo repair and will likely be grounded until the end of the year.

Two New South Wales Police officers are facing possible disciplinary action for racially abusing two women in Western Sydney. The driver and her step-mother, who had recently migrated from Afghanistan were pulled over because police suspected one of them wasn't wearing a seat belt. They were ordered out of their car and threatened. A report by the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission found both officers engaged in serious misconduct.
