 　　She was trying to laugh, but, God bless her, how completely she failed in the attempt!  那女人想笑，可上帝保佑，她却一点没笑出来，

　　Her mouth got into the position to laugh, but it never moved after that, save to draw down at the corners and quiver,  她的嘴准备笑的姿态，突然竟僵在那里，她的脸部嘴角肌肉亦没有颤抖，

　　while her eyes blinked so fast that I suspect she only caught occasional glimpses of the broad-shouldered fellow who elbowed his way so rapidly toward her. 只是快速地眨动眼睛。我估计，人潮汹涌中的她需要费力才能看清那个熟悉的身影，那个有着宽阔肩膀的男人此刻正拼命地挤开人群，快步朝她跑去。
