These ice blocks are the size of skyscrapers¹. And this is the Beardmore Glacier² which Scott and his men somehow traversed on foot. It's over 100 miles long and one of the largest glaciers³ on earth. But nothing could prepare those earlier explorers for what they are about to encounter.
