中国的悠久历史是所有中国人民宝贵的文化财富。人们已经成立了许多组织，在保护的同时，向中国和世界其他地区弘扬这深厚的文化遗产。

The long history of China is a cultural treasure for all of the Chinese people. Many businesses have set up to preserve and broadcast this rich cultural heritage to China and the rest of the world. Famous writers use their words to convey the messages in the heritage of the Chinese people. This literary output is not alone. Broadcasting companies for both television and film are also doing their part. Works based on the Four Masters' Works appear constantly on television. Movies are dedicated¹ to the historical dramas that shape our view on history. While these have broad appeal, newspapers have done a great deal to influence the perceptions of the people. They report on the culture of China and alert the people so that action can be taken if needed. Despite all of these efforts, many people have grown away from the classics of Chinese thought and literature. Thus, compulsory² education is needed to help preserve their cultural awareness³ even though it is not known if that would help. Preserving the culture of China is a responsibility of all Chinese people. More importantly, these traditional treasures must be studied and learned so that the meaning of being Chinese is not lost. That is why the cultural industry in China is needed.

Grammar 语法小结
过去将来时

1.过去将来时的基本结构是should/ would + 动词原形，表示从过去的某一时间来看将要发生的动作或存在的状态。主语为第一人称时，要用should, 主语为其他人称时，则要用would (在美语中，第一人称也常用would)

She didn't tell me where she would go.

她没告诉我她要去哪里。

May said she would visit the Great Wall next Saturday.

阿美说她下个星期六要去长城。

She never dreamed the house would be so beautiful.

2.过去将来时也可以用was/ were going to + 动词原形来表示

I wasn't sure whether she was going to speak at the meeting.
