 　　We see the same sort of behavior among lions where the male will simply act as a distraction¹ to drive prey² towards the awaiting female.

　　我们在狮群中见到类似行为雄狮只是起干扰作用把猎物赶向等待着的雌性。

　　It's a great way to ambush³ prey while limiting the potential harm to the Ceratosaurus and they know that the prey is going to take the easiest route of escape and that's going to be on that game trail.

　　这是伏击捕猎的好方法减小了角鼻龙所冒的风险，它们知道猎物会选择最容易的路线逃跑，而那就在那条小路上。

　　Once the male knows that the prey has gotten on the game trail, the chase ensues.

　　当雄性发现猎物上了小路追逐就开始了。

　　The Ceratosaurus is trying to make as much noise as he can, he's trying to drive the prey into the waiting arms of the hidden mate.

　　角鼻龙尽量发出很大的声音，试图将猎物送进隐藏着的伴侣等待的怀抱中。

　　Anticipating the prey being driven towards her by her mate, she prepares to spring their trap.

　　预测到猎物被她的同伴赶向她，她准备启动他们的陷阱。

　　But she herself is being hunted.

　　She has no idea that while she was laying an ambush for this prey, she herself is being preyed⁴ upon.

　　35-foot long, 4-ton Allosaurus is within a striking distance.

　　He slowly begins to move up behind her, trying to be as quiet as he can.

　　With his heavily padded feet, the 4-ton Allosaurus is able to approach within striking distance of the wary⁵ Ceratosaurus.

　　The foot of Allosaurus is perfectly⁶ designed to muffle⁷ the sound of its approach if it needed to be quiet.

　　Oblivious⁸ to its mate's peril⁹, the first Ceratosaurus continues his quest for quarry¹⁰.

　　The female senses something is behind her, but it's too late.

　　Before she has time to turn her head, the Allosaurus unleashes¹¹ a one-ton crush of teeth.

　　All she sees is the wide-open mouth of the Allosaurus who crushes her by the neck, snapping the bones as if they were twigs¹².

　　Her neck is broken. She's completely lifeless and slams to the ground.

　　The attack is so swift that the first Ceratosaurus has no idea that things are not going to plan.

　　Now the Allosaurus can turn its attention to the male who is rushing in thinking the female would jump out at any moment.

　　现在异特龙的注意力转向了认为雌性角鼻龙会随时跳出来正冲过来的雄性。
