President Trump¹ says China wants to make a trade deal, but the United States isn't ready. During a news conference in Japan, the President also said the US is making millions of dollars from tariffs² on Chinese goods.

Elections have been held across more than 2 dozen nations for the European Union Parliament. Right wing nationalist parties and leftist green parties had strong showings.

The National Weather Service says the deadly tornado³ that struck El Reno, Oklahoma had winds up to 165 mph. The twister demolished⁴ a motel and a mobile home park, killing⁵ 2 people and hurting dozens.

And authorities in Maui, Hawaii say a 65-year-old California man has died after a shark attack. The man's family told rescuers he went swimming before the deadly accident.
