Texas Senator Ted¹ Cruz says it was 'obviously a mistake' to go with his family on vacation to Mexico. Cruz returned Thursday. Republicans and Democrats² have criticized him for leaving while Texas deals with frigid³ cold and massive power outages.

About 325,000 homes and businesses in Texas had no power on Thursday. It was three million a day earlier. Millions still have to boil water before drinking it.
