On Friday, according to the state's Governor Jerry Brown, one of the worst droughts in California's history has officially ended.

周五州长杰瑞·布朗称，加利福尼亚历史上最严重的旱灾之一已经正式结束。

Thanks to months of drenching¹ storms and melting snowpack, Brown has lifted most stipulations of an emergency order he implemented² back in January 2014.

In a statement, the Democratic Brown said, "This drought emergency is over, but the next drought could be around the corner. Conservation must remain a way of life."

He then added that officials will still require some long-term water-use limits imposed in 2016 and are developing standards for water preservation³ in urban areas.
