But for Sauroposeidon, every day spent growing up is a day trying to keep out of the sights of this brute¹.

Deinonychus is a killing² machine. Here was a creature that was small. It was fast.

Deinonychus was really one of the most remarkable³ predators⁵ the earth has seen.

A three-dimensional fighter. A kickboxing dinosaur⁶.

The weapon that defines Deinonychus is a slashing⁷ 10cm razor short blade kept upper right during walking or running constantly cocked ready for a fight.

This vicious claw can deliver over 200 kilograms a force and rotate almost 180 degrees.

To viscerate prey⁸, Deinonychus uses both its hands and feet.

These were animals that had weapons every where you go.

It's clear its name of all for every reason, to be able to dish a lot of damage for its size.

For a young Sauroposeidon even one the size of a polar bear, Deinonychus is a fierce opponent.

And when there is a pack of these savage¹⁰ killers¹¹, a lone¹² Sauroposeidon has little hope of surviving their own slot.

But they do survive, and grow up to one day become almost indestructible.

For Tyrannosaurus rex, the most advanced carnivore that has ever lived, the odds¹³ are even harder.

These guys are warm-blood. They need to eat frequently.
