Japan’s Meteorological Agency says a magnitude-7.1 earthquake has struck off the east coast of Japan’s Honshu Island. The quake struck about 370 kilometers out to sea, and the epicenter was registered with a depth of 20 kilometers.

The agency says tsunami¹ waves up to 30 centimeters high were observed after the quake. But it has now lifted all the tsunami warnings it issued earlier on Saturday morning, saying "no tsunami damage is expected".

TEPCO, the operator of Japan's wrecked² Fukushima nuclear plant, says there was no damage or spike³ in radiation levels at the station after the jolt⁴. But the company has ordered workers to evacuate⁵ to higher ground.
