Three teams of Chinese disease-control specialists are taking supplies and expertise1 to Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone to help fight the deadly Ebola virus.
Each medical team will be composed of one epidemiologist and two specialists in disinfection and protection.
They will help train local medical workers and assist Chinese embassies to distribute medical supplies.
Three other Chinese medical teams already working in the three countries are staying put, to continue efforts to contain the Ebola outbreak.
China is also sending 80 tons of anti-Ebola materials valued at some 5 million US dollars to the West African countries.
