Chinese Premier¹ Li Keqiang is urging auditing² authorities to be more strict when overseeing the use of public funds, and safeguard the interests of the public.

He says audit³ authorities must wield⁴ their power righteously and they should not allow public funds to remain idle on the books, nor should they turn the other cheek to corruption⁵.

When meeting with prominent auditing personnel from across the country, the Chinese premier also urged auditors⁶ to keep an eye out for violations⁷ and the misuse⁸ of public funds.

China's top political advisor⁹ Yu Zhengsheng has met with Vietnamese officials in Hanoi and vowed¹⁰ to promote bilateral¹¹ ties.

Yu is in Hanoi for a three-day visit to enhance mutual¹² trust and build consensus¹³.

He called on both sides to implement¹⁴ the consensus reached between their leaders regarding maritime¹⁵ issues, and properly settle their differences.
