4 activists¹ have refused to leave the Venezuelan embassy in Washington, even after they got an eviction² notice. The activists consider Nicolas Maduro to be Venezuela's legitimate³ President. Counter-demonstrators gathered outside throughout the night.

Secretary of State Pompeo is taking off for Russia. He is meeting with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and President Vladimir Putin. Topics are expected to include Iran, Syria, North Korea and US election interference.

Two sightseeing planes carrying cruise ship tourists have collided off Southeast Alaska. At least four people were killed. Federal authorities are investigating the crash.

And Persian Gulf⁴ officials say 4 oil tankers⁵ have been damaged by sabotage⁶. But full details of the damage aren't clear.
