For robots, artificial intelligence means more than just "brains."

Roboticists believe that in order for machines to fully¹ function on their own, they need to have senses.

Stanford roboticist Mark Cutkosky is currently working with scientists to make sensors² for robotic feet and fingers, as well as teaching the robots how to use their bodies.
