According to Reuters, many products made by Apple, including the Apple Watch could be affected¹ by proposed U.S. tariffs³ on Chinese goods.

President Donald Trump⁴ commented on the tariffs saying that he has tariffs on an additional $267 billion in Chinese goods “ready to go on short notice" if he wants.

Cell phones, which are the biggest U.S. import from China, have not been affected by the tariffs so far, but would they would be hit if Trump activates⁵ the new $267 billion tariff² list.

If this new tariff goes into effect, it could mean higher prices for Apple phones.
