Bilateral¹ ties between China and Vietnam have witnessed remarkable² development. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1950, the relationship has flourished into a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership³.
 中越双边关系已经取得了显著发展。自1950年建立外交关系以来，中越双边关系已经发展成为全面战略合作关系。
 
China is Vietnam’s largest trading partner, with bilateral trade volume reaching over 50 billion US dollars in 2012. China’s chief exports to Vietnam include machinery⁴, computers, chemicals and textiles. China imports mostly agricultural produce from its southern neighbor. Vietnam is also a developing country.
 中国是越南最大的贸易合作伙伴，2012年双边贸易总额达500亿美元。中国出口越南的主要产品包括机械，计算机，化工品及纺织品。而中国从越南进口的主要产品为农产品。越南也是一个发展中国家。
 
After 20 years of reform and opening up, Vietnam has managed to maintain rapid economic growth. It has rich and diversified⁵ mineral resources and a strong tourism industry.
 经过20年的改革开放，越南目前保持着快速的经济增长。越南拥有丰富和多样化的矿产资源和强劲的旅游资源。
