Mother Teresa has been made a saint of the Roman Catholic Church, 19 years after her death. Pope Francis declared her Saint Teresa of Kolkota at a mass in St Peter's Square in the Vatican city after the Vatican agreed that the nun¹ had been responsible for two miraculous² cures of the sick.

Prime minister Malcolm Turnbull says China understands Australia's approach to foreign investment, despite President Xi Jinping raising it during talks on the sidelines of the G20.
